Everyday our Centre Experience team deliver extraordinary customer service. We welcome hundreds of millions of customer visits each year and our team’s focus is creating unique and memorable customer experiences for everyone in our Westfield destinations.

We have a role within our Westfield Newmarket team for a Facilities Coordinator.  Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager you will play a key role in maintaining and improving centre facilities to ensure excellent service for our retailers and an enhanced experience for our customers.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the centre team in delivering top-quality hard and soft services to enhance the customer and retailer experience.
  • Managing the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to prioritise and track work orders.
  • Assisting in environmental and sustainability initiatives, improving outcomes through reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensuring maintenance, repairs, and capital works are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Communicating effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Building strong relationships with service providers to ensure timely, compliant, and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Addressing and resolving customer and retailer facility-related concerns while collaborating on cross-team projects.
  • Understanding and supporting the delivery of Reactive Maintenance SLAs.

This role is a permanent, full-time position, based at Westfield Newmarket.

There will also be additional Duty Manager duties. 

  • The Duty Manager assumes responsibility for the Chief Warden during an emergency and provides leadership across the centre teams to ensure delivery of an exceptional Customer Experience and provide a safe and secure environment.

You will have:

  • Experience in retail, property, hospitality, facilities, or building management.
  • Trade qualifications or experience — ideally as an electrician, air conditioning technician, fire technician, refrigeration mechanic, or data technician.
  • Project management experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent administration abilities.
  • Proven ability to supervise contractors, clarify instructions, and manage stakeholder priorities.
  • Comfort using business and building management systems.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, 7-day-a-week environment, including weekend coverage at least once a week (with days in lieu), occasional Thursday late-night shifts, and support during centre training hours as needed.
