Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand. As an integral part of our retail management team, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

  • Assist in managing day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and key performance indicators
  • Supervise, train, and motivate sales staff to maintain high standards of customer service
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock control and replenishment
  • Ensure the store's visual merchandising meets company standards
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner
  • Assist in creating staff schedules and managing payroll
  • Implement and maintain store policies and procedures
  • Contribute to loss prevention efforts and maintain store security
  • Participate in recruitment and performance management of staff members

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or supervisory role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional shopping experiences
  • Proficiency in retail management software, POS systems, and inventory management tools
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service best practices
