We are looking for an experienced Traffic Management Operations Supervisor to join our Waikato Team.

Reporting to the Department Manager as the Traffic Management Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient implementation of traffic management plans across a variety of projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of our traffic management crews.

• Scheduling and coordinating resources, including personnel, equipment, and traffic control plans.

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.

• Conducting site visits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

• Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and the public to ensure effective communication and minimize disruption.

• Providing training and mentoring to traffic management personnel.

• Monitoring and maintaining the quality of traffic management operations.

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our safety and operational procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Proven experience as a Traffic Management Supervisor or similar role, with a strong understanding of traffic management principles and practices.

• Hold a current STMS Cat A/B/C NP qualification with a strong understanding of the CoPTTM & the changes required moving towards the risk based NZGTTM.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• A commitment to safety and quality.

• A clean New Zealand driver's licence. Ideally class 4.
