Opal Fibre Packaging provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Designer to join the team at our site in Wiri, Auckland.

The key focus of this role will be to:

• Provide Design advice to Sales, Estimators and Operations staff as required
• Interpreting Design briefs as provided by the sales team
• Complete Custom Design Tasks as allocated by the system
• Assist in product standardisation by matching existing solutions/tooling with new customers/applications.
• Assist in the manufacture of packaging samples as required

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience using CAD systems (AutoCAD experience would be viewed favourably)
• Spatial awareness and the ability to visualize
