About the role

Our Radiology Service provides to a population of approximately 310,000 people over the lower South Island where our work is predominately emergency and inpatient cases. You will be working in a dynamic environment with a team of experienced Radiologists and medical staff.

The role will provide you with the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including two MRI scanners, two multi-slice CT scanners, and a SPECT- Nuclear Medicine department.

You will participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster shared equally amongst your colleagues.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.  You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council’s website at www.mcnz.org.nz
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic registrar, that wish to be part of a hands-on training and learning programme
  • A minimum of three years’ post qualification experience
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth 
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings. 

 

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the RDA or SToNZ CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the Pay Scale, between $111,972 and $213,300 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
