Job Description

The Warehouse in Whakatāne is seeking friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Casual Team Members. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable retail experience in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with inquiries and product information
• Operate cash registers and process various types of transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean and tidy store environment, ensuring products are well-presented and correctly priced
• Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and targets
• Participate in promotional activities and special events as required
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures

Please note this is a casual position to work on an as needed basis - there are no set hours.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
• Retail experience is preferred but not essential – we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
