This role is Auckland based.
About the role
As our IT Solutions Specialist BDM, you’ll be supported by an experienced team that includes cross-functional, cross-geography and lead generation support. You will be focused on working directly with prospects to identify their needs and tailor IT or Microsoft solutions to meet them. The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Identifying opportunities to sell IT Managed Services solutions or Microsoft Modern Application, Security and Data & AI technologies.
- Building strong customer relationships; providing consultative guidance; and developing strategic plans, roadmaps, and initiatives
- Achieving your gross profit sales target and agreed KPI’s
- Prospect and secure new business opportunities within our 'ideal customer’ segment/s
- Managing your sales pipeline to quickly nurture prospects into new customers
- Creating, implementing, and executing sales plans
- Maintaining and demonstrating both a commercial and technical understanding of Microsoft products and services in a way that appeals to a broad customer audience
- Managing and delivering on sales activities—including prospecting, conducting meetings, client qualifications, preparing and presenting proposals, tenders and presentations with professionalism and efficiency.
- Managing sales administration, maintaining CRM systems, and providing appropriate reporting
- Working closely with other CBS stakeholders, including sales team members, marketing, and team leads

About You
The ideal candidate for this role will be a passionate and dynamic IT sales professional, who thrives on building strong customer partnerships, with a proven track record of successfully selling Microsoft solutions. You’ll be a key driver in achieving our business goals and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, along with:
- Strong Communication and Presentation Skills: Capable of engaging with C-level customers at nationally recognised organisations, with excellent verbal, written communication skills and excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- IT Expertise: Your past exposure to enterprise IT gives you a deep understanding of its sales cycles and the ability to create compelling solutions to help clients optimise, automate, and transform their IT infrastructures. Ideally, we would be seeking 8+ years of experience in IT 4+ years of experience in a sales, consultancy, or solution sales BDM role.
