About the department
The marketing team for Novo Nordisk New Zealand is composed of skilled professionals dedicated to driving the success of our brands. The team collaborates closely with various departments across Oceania & APAC, including sales, Finance, supply chain and Customer Engagement to ensure cohesive and effective market strategies. The job is based in New Zealand, and you will be reporting directly to the Country Manager New Zealand.
The position
As a Marketing Manager, you will be in charge of leading the marketing of Novo Nordisk New Zealand products whilst co-ordinating the effective use of business resources and processes to ensure successful execution of market strategies and sales tactics. You will:
- Deliver annual business results for brands/products and support the affiliate in achieving business goals by leading and implementing selected product strategies and tactical plans aligned with New Zealand growth objectives.
- Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including direct-to-consumer initiatives, sales force materials, conferences, and events, while ensuring effective brand positioning through customer segmentation and targeting in collaboration with the Customer Engagement Team.
- Lead, prepare, and implement launch activity plans for mid-term projects, ensuring readiness for future business platforms.
- Work closely with Finance and the Customer Engagement Team on sales demand forecasting and manage market research projects to support product and service marketing efforts.
- Manage and allocate the marketing budget to maximize impact, maintain flexibility, and ensure a high return on investment, while also developing team members to ensure readiness for current and future challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Science, or a Business Management-related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a marketing or commercial management role within the pharmaceutical, medical devices, consumer health, or life science industries; experience in other industries (e.g., FMCG) is a plus.
- Strong track record in brand management, product launches, and developing market plans.
- Self-aware, curious, and aligned with the Novo Nordisk purpose.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
