How you’ll make a difference

The Packaging Technologist provides Quality and operational support to improve performance throughout Packaging by:

 

  • Supporting TPM teams and improvement activities
  • Insuring Q points are well understood with supporting documentation.
  • Support PM pillar on PM implementation across all Q Points
  • Support Quality Team to train QC checks on the shopfloor and support Packaging team to maintain shopfloor lab at world class level.
  • Support OWPML across the lines to help identify and prevent losses
  • Delivering necessary training and troubleshooting to support online testing

 

 

About the position

 

  • Contributes to the implementation of quality systems and procedures and proposes, possible improvements to colleagues and his/her manager.

 

  • Supports NPD execution on the shopfloor and participates in NPD project teams as required.

 

  • Support Quality department on day-to-day quality defect by affectively using RCFA, MOC, UON, SRN and rework logs.

 

  • Contributes to improvement activities of the analysis in their area of responsibility and takes appropriate corrective or preventative action. Ensures workplace is at the required CILT, Area Standard and 5s standards and is actively involved in AM/5S teams.

 

  • Structurally prevents quality issues in the whole packaging department. Evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of tasks and identifies improvement opportunities taking appropriate corrective or preventative action.

 

  • Support QA on complaint investigation.

 

  • Support Quality Team on quality culture at the shopfloor by MoSF and Champion Team Meetings.

 

 

What you’ll bring with you

 

  • Tertiary Level Education in Food science, Engineering and/or Quality Assurance

 

  • 1-3 years beverage technological experience

 

  • Preference for experience in:

 

  • Quality Assurance Quality systems, Quality of Packaging / Packaging operations / Document management.
  • People management and training skills
  • Continuous Improvement Methods - DB Breweries uses TPM.

 

  • Prior experience in FMCG business preferred

 

  • Quality Management System experience
