Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will:

  • Take full ownership of the branch’s financial performance, leading Profit and Loss management, driving EBIT, and ensuring effective cost control, budget variance analysis, and accurate forecasting.

  • Lead a customer-focused team, collaborating with both customers and sales colleagues to consistently deliver outstanding service.

  • Strategically plan the allocation of people, resources, and transport, ensuring the team is equipped to meet and exceed business objectives.

  • Inspire and lead your team by developing their skills and capabilities, creating a culture that promotes growth and high performance.

  • Drive a vision focused on growth, efficiency, and aligning the team’s abilities with the evolving scale and complexity of the business.

  • Lead by example in managing key performance metrics, such as utilisation, claims, Customer DIFOT, safety, and customer service.

  • Champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across the branch and network.

  • Lead the branch in partnership with the broader national and regional teams, contributing to shared success.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following key skills and experience:

  • Proven people centric leader

  • Thought leader with sound commercial acumen

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar leadership position

  • Proven capability with planning and delivering to that plan

  • Laser focus on revenue growth

  • An analytical mind that can interpret data to use in decision making

  • Prior experience working in the transport and freight industry.

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Sound ability to network and build strong working relationships.

  • Self-motivated; People focused
