What you’ll be doing
This position is responsible for ensuring that all the Generation Control System, supporting operational processes and transition capabilities are successfully tested prior to go live.
This role will be part of the leadership team for the project.
The Test Strategy includes Factory Acceptance Testing, System Integration Testing, Site Acceptance Testing and User Acceptance Testing. Testing covers all functional and non-functional system attributes including the implementation of a new network.
The ideal candidate for this role will be based in either Wellington or Christchurch. Travel to our sites will be a key requirement of this role.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience working in a distributed environment including onshore Meridian sites and with an offshore vendor.
- Experience in testing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition applications (SCADA).
- Experience managing large, multi-year programmes of work and a dedicated team, for mission-critical applications.
- Experience working with project owners, and other key stakeholders across the organisation.
- Experience managing functional and non-functional testing. The testing to include System Testing, System Integration Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing, Data Migration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, Operational Readiness Testing, and Commissioning Testing including managing a parallel run.
- Experience managing test automation.
- Experience working in the electricity industry would be advantageous.
