The opportunity
Our Finance team is looking for an experienced finance business partner who is adaptable, proactive and a collaborative team player, to join their team for 6 months fulltime fixed term over year end. You will be able to confidently demonstrate your knowledge and skills to provide timely financial information, advice and expertise to add value and ensure the success of our goals. You will develop a strong partnering model that is dependable, built on mutual understanding and is relationship based.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor the achievement of our financial performance objectives.
- Able to rapidly evolve finance ways of working to meet strategic shifts in the business.
- Provide financial analysis and insight that business leaders value for decision making.
- Manage preparation and collection of information for year- end for allocated business units.
- Assist with external audit queries for allocated business units.
- Proactively review project financials to ensure data is recorded accurately and ensure reallocation and adjustments are made.
- Review milestone billings, monitor outstanding billings and recoveries.
Qualifications
Your skills and experience:
It is essential for you to hold:
- Relevant tertiary Qualification in Accounting or equivalent
- Full membership of relevant professional accountancy body: CPA, CIMA, CA, CFA
- 5+ years’ work experience in a similar role (Finance Business Partner, Commercial Advisor, Commercial Manager, etc) with senior leaders.
- Extensive experience in financial management and analytical reports.
- Business plans, budgets, forecasts and modelling experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Ability to hold budget holders to account to deliver on financial commitments.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
