Job Overview:The Senior Manager of Commercial Broadcasters is responsible for overseeing and developing relationships with commercial broadcasting partners, maximizing revenue opportunities, and ensuring the effective implementation of commercial strategies across various broadcasting platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow commercial broadcasting revenue
- Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships in the broadcasting sector
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial broadcasters and media partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major broadcasting accounts
- Proactively engage with key broadcasting stakeholders on commercial initiatives
- Revenue Generation:
- Achieve revenue targets for commercial broadcasting partnerships that have been set
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with broadcasters to maximize financial returns
- Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on market analysis
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Assist Nielsen Operations with analyses of data to support the role out of key strategic projects
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues delivering subscription reporting to the broadcasters
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments such as Operations, Legal, and Finance
- Participate in cross-functional projects to improve overall business performance
- Work closely with relevant platform departments to align on business opportunity and needs as the voice of the broadcasters
- Innovation:
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance commercial broadcasting offerings
- Stay updated on technological advancements in broadcasting and explore their potential applications
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial broadcasting, media sales, or related areas
- Proven track record of managing high-value client relationships
- Strong understanding of the NZ broadcasting industry and current market trends
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, data analytics platforms)
- Experience with analyses in Television Audience Measurement data
