Job Description
Join our dynamic People and Culture (P&C) team at Macraes. Business Partner with our people to enable them to contribute to our strategic team goals!
Responsibilities
- Interpreting employment legislation, regulations, policies and employment agreements to provide accurate and comprehensive generalist HR advice and assistance to managers and staff.
- Contributing to the development of best practice policies, strategies, frameworks and plans for training and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, organisational development, and industrial and employment relations.
- Assisting with the negotiation of the Collective Agreements including identifying options and costs.
- Providing advice, assistance and coaching on performance issues, including dealing with individual cases of conflict and disciplinary action whilst maintaining effective relationships with employee representatives.
- Providing advice and guidance to managers on employee injury case management.
- Supporting the recruitment and on-boarding process, drafting of employment agreements and letters of engagement.
- Contributing to, and supporting, employee induction and orientation.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in HR, management or related field preferred.
- Full and Current Driver Licence essential and the ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an HR/P&C generalist role in a large and/or complex organisation is desirable
