Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We seek enthusiastic and engaging customer services reps to join our Student Hubs as Casual Assistants.
Our team is the physical front door to the University, and we are responsible for providing high-quality, customer-focused services to our students, enabling them to successfully navigate critical steps of the student journey. This includes connecting students to self-service options and referring them to specialist staff and services as required.

Positions and Locations:
We have 5 open casual positions for on-demand work. Shifts may be available at various times between 7am and 10pm on weekdays and 8am to 10pm on weekends. The primary focus of these roles will be supporting with our peak activity in Student Hubs.

On-the-job paid training will be provided.
Pay rate:
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23.15 to $25.32 per hour + Holiday pay

Previous experience is not essential, as we will provide full training. However, we are looking for candidates who can bring a positive, can-do attitude along with:
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Customer-focussed
- Excellent IT skills
- The ability to work independently, and as part of a team
We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ability to be flexible, efficient, and organised is a must. As we are a large and complex organisation, relevant experience in the tertiary sector will be considered favourably but not essential.
