You’ll be joining a team that connects the diverse communities of Tāmaki Makaurau to the rich taonga and stories of our Research and Heritage Collection. As the AV Technician you will support the technical and operational requirements of audiovisual, sound, and digital formats related to engagement events, activations, exhibitions, and the creation of related collateral.
Day to day your responsibilities will look like:
- Ensuring the technical aspects of in-person events are supported
- Recording and capturing events and engagements
- Supporting the audiovisual aspects of exhibitions
- Creating and distributing digital content to community libraries through graphic design tools such as Photoshop
- Maintaining our audiovisual recording and troubleshooting where required

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong understanding of technical and operational aspects of audiovisual and sound recording equipment.
- Familiarity with software for processing audiovisual materials and knowledge of audiovisual file formats.
- Ability to use graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop; photography skills are an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate with other teams in Research Heritage.
- A positive attitude, quick learning ability, and problem-solving skills.

Salary Band D, we would be looking to appoint the successful applicant at a salary of between $58,000 - $65,000, depending upon experience.
