Your Role

 

We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to join our NZ Claims division.

You’ll provide efficient, effective, and timely administrative support to the Executive General Manager – Claims. You’ll be well organised, flexible and self-motivating, have the ability to work with minimal supervision, exhibit expert levels of written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate continuous attention to detail.

 

The key responsibilities encompass managing the EGM's office operations through effective diary management, leave coordination, and compliance training. The position involves planning and organizing meetings, complex travel arrangements, and departmental events, as well as managing the Leadership Team's strategy days. Communication tasks include preparing reports, presentations, internal newsletters, and departmental communications. Budget management responsibilities include maintaining the EGM’s cost centre, processing invoices, and managing event budgets. Additionally, the role involves participation in project work, including undertaking confidential projects, compiling data, and reporting progress to stakeholders. 

 

This is a permanent hybrid opportunity based in Christchurch. The successful candidate is expected to work from the office 2-3 days a week with Mondays being mandatory.

About You 

 

  • 5 + years Executive Assistant experience
  • Strong word processing, presentation and spreadsheet skills as well as proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Highly organised with high attention to detail and forward planning
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality at all times
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
  • Excellent time management skills
