In this role, you'll lead a talented team of 10 Private Bankers, Investment Advisors, and Associates, while managing a select group of clients.
Your goal? To deliver exceptional client experiences and strong performance through your team, across ANZ Private’s balanced objectives.
You'll also drive team development, resourcing, and continuous improvement to support regional and overall business goals.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
As a Senior Private Banker, you will:
- Lead a team of 10, including Private Bankers, Investment Advisers, and Associates.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and regular feedback to help your team grow and succeed. Develop and maintain core skills and future capabilities.
- Actively manage and grow a small group of clients, fully understanding their financial positions, goals, needs, and risk profiles. Ensure these are accurately reflected in your client plans and that your team does the same.
- Participate in the Regional Leadership Team, contributing to the wider business strategy and objectives.
- Manage team capacity and resources to deliver the best service levels for clients.
- Ensure quality information, investment advice, and recommendations by continuously monitoring portfolios with investment staff, adhering to investment strategy settings, and meeting regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed on the current economic environment, investment markets, and competitor information.
- Maintain up-to-date Financial Advisers accreditation and apply it appropriately.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Authorised Financial Adviser qualification (National Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 or equivalent).
- Over 10 years of experience in financial services with in- depth knowledge of financial markets.
- Ideally an degree in Commerce, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills, with proven networking, influencing, and collaboration abilities. Demonstrated history of adding value to clients and driving positive outcomes.
- Leadership potential and a desire to coach and develop others, with the ability to lead and support through change and adapt to new environments or ways of working.
- Solid financial services or advisory technical knowledge to enable the best outcomes for customers.
- Expertise in providing personalised Financial/Investment advice, processes, and policy.
- Risk awareness with experience in operating a well-managed business and seeking continual improvements.
- Critical thinking skills to manage competing demands and priorities, exercising sound judgment and decision-making.
- The ability to engage and empower a diverse range of people / stakeholders.
