Mō te tūranga - About the role
As an Agile Coach in our Data Delivery Team, you’ll play a key role in helping the squad deliver while guiding them on the best ways to resolve blockers. This role is responsible for the continuous deployment and delivery of a project. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a project.

As an Agile Coach you will:
- Embedding a culture of learning, empowerment, rapid experimentation, adaptability and collaboration

Guiding and coaching the squad and organisation to follow the NWOW/Agile/Scrum principles and practices that work best for the team, helping everyone understand the theory, practices, principles and values of Agile Delivery through servant leadership. This is achieved through;
- Coaching team members on the facilitation of key ceremonies and role modelling best practice where helpful
- Improving the flow of work
- Enabling delivery and helping foster a strong team culture
- Supporting and coaching the Product Owner on Agile/Scrum practices
- Guiding and coaching the team to become self-organised
- Helping the team inspect, adapt, and self-assess to continuously improve delivery
- Improving transparency of work, processes and impediments within the team
- Facilitating the removal of impediments and coaching others to do the same
- Helping foster a safe and trusting environment where conflicts can be navigated in a healthy way without fear of blame
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Knowledge of agile practice and principles, including;
- Empirical process control theory: transparency, inspection and adaptation
- Scrum theory (Scrum Master service to PO, squad and organisation)
- Kanban
- Scrumban
- Experience in working in the above ways in a team setting
- Mentoring, coaching, team building and facilitation

Hands-on experience with the following tools or their equivalent;
- Jira
- Confluence
- Project Delivery experience and a demonstrable track record of delivering what matters, as well as the ability to plan and prioritise work
- People leadership experience, including a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, lead and influence people
- Continuous improvement methodologies, techniques, and practices such as from the Lean/Six Sigma body of work
