YOUR ROLE
Due to internal growth, we require a Service and Sales Technician for our Ophthalmic Devices. The successful candidate would handle both sales and technical maintenance for our range and will need basic sales skills, a good computer background, and an understanding and ability to perform maintenance, calibration, and repairs in the field.
The main responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to:
- Installation, servicing, and maintenance of the medical equipment including Slit Lamps, Biometers, Perimeters, Microscopes and Furniture, such as surgical chairs and beds.
- Educating and training of clients on the equipment and services.
- Establishing and developing maintenance network and plans for the hospitals and private practices within New Zealand.
- Promoting and selling services and new products to existing and potential clients.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll be an experienced technician eager to develop your sales and customer service skills taking ownership of this newly created role. Reliable and enthusiastic, you should be physically fit as some medium lifting is required during installations.
The other essentials we are looking for:
- Previous medical device service experience
- Good computer skills, including network and database experience
- Full valid clean NZ Driver’s license
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Well organised and able to work under pressure
- Able to work autonomously and be self-starter
- Electrical testing certification would be advantageous
- Great time management skills with the ability to prioritise and resolve competing demands to meet deadlines
- The ability to take and show initiative, jump on challenges
- Able to work both in a team environment and autonomously
