As a for providing technical expertise related to finite element analysis and fitness-for-service assessment . This position emphasizes the generation of integrated solution between all the Quest offerings, such inspection, material and structural engineering services.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing consulting services related to the structural integrity (SI) assessment of pressure equipment assets that includes finite element analysis (FEA), fitness for service, remaining life assessment, risk assessment, and FEA base failure analysis/root cause analysis.
- Providing technical input and support for and development of software applications related to the structural integrity assessment (e.g., Signal FFS, FEACrack and in-house engineering tools including ABAQUS modules) by working closely with the software business team.
- Managing projects including technical and commercial responsibilities such as budgets and deliverables, and management of project resources.
- Maintaining proficiencies in other Advanced Engineering service roles as applicable (e.g., Metallurgical and Materials Engineer, Laboratory testing)
- Engaging in and contribute to business development within process refinery, syngas and petrochemical industries and other business teams such as pipeline and power industries as requested.
- Providing recommendations to drive improvement in technical solutions, assessment methodology, and software applications.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's in a related Engineering field
- Have 8 yr of industry work experience with 2 yr additional work experience in engineering consulting.
- Have good technical knowledge in computational mechanics, FEA in particular non-linear FEA using ABAQUS or equivalent.
- Have ability to apply computational mechanics and FEA in a wide range of complex industry problems.
- Have good background in Fracture mechanics, Failure/Damage Mechanism, Fitness for Service and Life Assessment.
- Have excellent technical report writing skill and clear communication (both oral and written).
