Salary Band – $126,000 - $138,000 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver 

• 1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week
• Fixed term vacancy
• Project cover until June 2025

The gastroenterology service is Dunedin based and provides care district wide.
 
Mō te tūranga | About the role
The Charge Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of unit service delivery including clinical leadership & coordination, operational functions, quality and financial performance, human resource management, quality and risk management, clinical pathway development and other service delivery improvements throughout the gastroenterology service.

• Provide clinical leadership, coordination, and management
• Mentor staff as they gain knowledge and skills. 
• Foster a culture of clinical excellence, innovation and strategic thinking.
• Recruit, lead, educate, and develop both new members and existing staff.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop relationships through close liaison with other services both internal and external.  
• Facilitate clinical practice development within the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in service development planning.

• Eligible to work in NZ with current APC,
• Proven clinical credibility and leadership experience in a New Zealand setting.
• Hold a current PDRP/QLP or equivalent,
• Dynamic personality and great communication and time management skills.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($126,124 p.a) and Step 3 ($138,057 p.a prorata) of the Designated Senior Nurse Scale, Grade 4.
