Salary Band – $126,000 - $138,000 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver
- 1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week
- Fixed term vacancy
- Project cover until June 2025
The gastroenterology service is Dunedin based and provides care district wide.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
The Charge Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of unit service delivery including clinical leadership & coordination, operational functions, quality and financial performance, human resource management, quality and risk management, clinical pathway development and other service delivery improvements throughout the gastroenterology service.
- Provide clinical leadership, coordination, and management
- Mentor staff as they gain knowledge and skills.
- Foster a culture of clinical excellence, innovation and strategic thinking.
- Recruit, lead, educate, and develop both new members and existing staff.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop relationships through close liaison with other services both internal and external.
- Facilitate clinical practice development within the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in service development planning.
Mōu ake | About you
- Eligible to work in NZ with current APC,
- Proven clinical credibility and leadership experience in a New Zealand setting.
- Hold a current PDRP/QLP or equivalent,
- Dynamic personality and great communication and time management skills.

Utu whānui |Salary range
This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($126,124 p.a) and Step 3 ($138,057 p.a prorata) of the Designated Senior Nurse Scale, Grade 4.
