Assistant Manager
We are seeking a person who can lead our Checkout Team in the daily operations of our Checkout Department.
You will be a part of an enthusiastic and motivated team. We are a store that values initiative and trying new things. This is evident in our steps towards sustainability and a computer inventory control system.
Our goal is to “Provide our customers with a superior shopping experience through excellence in range, service and operation.” You will be part of our frontline team who are the face of our business.
The successful applicant will need to have experience in the retail industry and have a strong customer focus, preferably having worked in a supermarket environment and able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Developed Organization skills
- Effective communication at all levels
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Must have a General Mangers certificate
- Dedication to customer service
- Good computer skills – ability to pick up programmes with ease
- Ability to learn fast
- Ability to delegate tasks
In this role you be directly reporting to the Checkout Manager and Service and Administration Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist the Checkout Manager in leading the team
- Oversee all aspects of Checkouts/Online
- Be responsible for the sale of Liquor
- Maintain of our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards within the department
- Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department at all times
- Stock take Magazines and Tobacco
- Time efficiency and accuracy with Customer orders
The vacancy will require late nights, early mornings and a least one weekend shift.
