About the Role

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java 11+, Swagger, Postman, Junit 5, Rest Assured, and mocking tools.
• Contribute to the creation of user stories and ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements.
• Apply Agile concepts to drive efficient testing processes.
• Containerize applications and utilize Docker for testing environments.
• Conduct testing for Rest APIs, API Security, Service Discovery, Distributed tracing, and Cloud Concepts.
• Implement and execute tests in an Agile environment.
• Promote API best practices, reusability, and resilience.
• Drive automation initiatives and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Apply ITSM practices to ensure efficient testing and incident management.
• Test Microservices architecture and applications.
• Possess the flexibility and willingness to support other roles, such as transitioning from Automation to Functional testing when needed.
• Exposure to the Insurance or Banking sector is desirable.

Requirements

What skills do we need?

• Strong proficiency in Java 11+, Swagger, Postman, Junit 5, Rest Assured, and mocking tools.
• Knowledge of Spring boot, Java 17+ and the Netflix Stack (Zuul, Ribbon, Eureka) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile concepts and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in containerization, Rest APIs, API Security, Service Discovery, Distributed tracing, Cloud Concepts, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines, particularly Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Knowledge of JIRA, and Confluence is advantageous.
• Openness to the idea of Pairing and a demonstrated sense of ownership.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
