Our Group Treasurer department has a fixed term opportunity for a Development Contributions Assessor to join Auckland Council’s Development Contributions team!
In this role, your purpose would be to evaluate applications for both residential and non-residential developments, to determine if a development contribution is payable by the developer.

Day-to-day you could expect to work on:
- Assessing resource and building consents to determine if a development contribution is required
- Researching property files and past developments
- Calculating the contribution payable
- Maintain all operational and legislative records
- Processing refunds for customers
He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this role you will be an organised, analytical, and detail-oriented individual who has had previous experience working with regulatory documentation and property specifications. A background in building, resource consenting, finance or administration will be most aligned to this role, as the ability to interpret policy and legislation is essential within this role.
As a proficient user of SAP and MS Office Suite, you will use your technological acumen and natural relationship management skills to communicate effectively with diverse and varied stakeholders. You will understand the significance of having a customer-centric approach to deliverables and will facilitate collaboration across the Council.
