We have a role within our Westfield Newmarket team for an experienced Risk & Security Manager. This is a varied role, with a key focus on leading and directing the Centre security and risk management functions, providing the optimal level of security and safety for our employees, contractors, retail partners and customers.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Proactively planning and delivering priorities from our Safety Framework, providing a safe and secure environment that exceeds customer expectations, while promoting safety as an integral part of the customer experience.
- Proactive management, reporting, and response to hazard identification, incidents, emergencies, near misses and claims.
- Managing safety audits and inspection programs.
- Managing compliance with all security and health and safety policies, procedures and practices at the Centre.
- Attending to Centre emergencies; ensuring risk and security staff and contractors are trained to deal with all emergencies.
- Management of external service providers and contract security staff.
- Developing strong relationships and work with local Police, WHS Regulators, Fire Brigade and Ambulance Services to develop operational and emergency protocol.
- Performing all duty manager requirements on a rotating weekend and evening roster with the rest of the Centre Management Leadership Team.
This role is permanent, full-time.
What sets you apart
We are seeking a person with qualifications or related experience in work, health and safety. You will have solid experience in risk and security management in retail, property, hospitality, leisure or other services industries. The ability to mitigate and manage risk, manage incident responses and follow through with reporting, authority interaction and assisting with insurance claim management, is vital in this role. Experience and technical knowledge of CCTV and access control systems, as well as visitor and contractor management systems, are essential.
