Wood is currently recruiting for an Operations Assistant on a permanent basis located in our New Plymouth sites. 

The purpose of this role is to support everyday company operations. These operations are closely associated to our core business of Emergency Response, Health and Safety and Driver Training. 

We are seeking applications from, independent energetic positive people who are a great fit for our team.  A full driver’s licence is a must as is a desire to perform tasks associated with maintenance and training. You will be able to take instruction but can work independently.

  • Preparation for training
  • Support trainers and support staff with equipment and resource logistics
  • Cleaning and/or maintaining training equipment, resources and facilities
  • Continually place the students’ needs first
  • Carry out administration tasks as and when required
  • Assist with training when required
  • Current and valid NZ Driver’s License – should be able to drive a manual vehicle
  • Ability to work full time and permanently in New Zealand
  • Computer literate

The successful applicant will be required to comply with all the following:

  • Wood Code of Conduct
  • All policies and procedures that are required by external sites
  • Undertake other tasks or duties that are considered reasonable
