THE ROLE
Ventia have an opportunity for an experienced and fully qualified Electrical Cable Jointer to join their team in Rotorua
This role will be working mostly on the local distribution network in the Bay of Plenty, along with various private networks. You will be doing HV/LV work including installation and maintenance of network substations and underground assets. The jointing will consist of HV(11KV)/LV XLPE/PILCA jointing along with the occasional live LV jointing and termination work.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong focus on safety and prevention, a commitment to work and a career, job ownership and the ability to be self-motivating; organized, methodical, and a team player.
Requirements for this role:
- Hold a qualification for cable jointing.
- Have an EWRB registration and hold a practicing licence.
- Experience in jointing PILC and XLPE/PILCA up to and including 11KV
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory and electrical testing
- Ability to understand electrical diagrams and plans
- Be willing to multi-task
- Hold a current full Class 1 Drivers license
