About the role

Position: Refrigeration Engineer/Competent Refrigeration Technician

We have an opportunity for a Refrigeration Engineer or competent Refrigeration Technician to join our busy and high performing team based at our Fraser Street, depot in Timaru.

Location: Fraser Street, Timaru

Status: Full-time with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week

Hours of work are between 7:00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 7.00am -12.00pm Saturday as required.

Duties:

The primary purpose of this role is to inspect, repair, maintain refrigerated containers and shipping container machinery to industry standards and specifications. To grow the staff technical training and developments as well as an On-Call Mentor within the Timaru regional SRS Team.

Some of your responsibilities will include: 

  • Inspect plugs, leads providing repair or replacements
  • Complete ‘plug-ins’, set point checks, pre-trip inspections and monitoring
  • Fault finding diagnostics, installation and repairs
  • Carry out on-call duties as required

Qualifications:

We are looking for qualified Refrigeration Engineers or experienced Refrigeration Technicians with a minimum of an Electrical Service Technician practicing license (EST).

  • EWRB Electrical Service Technician Practicing License (EST)
  • Trade Qualifications (preferred but not essential)
  • Full NZ Class 1 Licence (Required)
