As a Drainlayer with our Construction Department, you will support the Drainage Team in completing installations or repairs of sanitary or storm water sewer structures, lay out pipe routes, locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement, as well as train or supervise others in laying pipe.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Identifying SHE risks, near misses, potential problems and spills and reporting them immediately
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
  • Excavate and dig trenches along areas marked on the plans.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Full Class 2 licence with WTR
  • NZ Certificate Level 4 in Drainlaying
  • Experience in civil construction preferred

We’re looking for passionate people with a positive approach and a can-do attitude. If you’re open to learning new ideas and different ways of doing things, we’d love to hear from you.

To ensure our employees are well looked after, we offer a suite of benefits such as:

  • Medical insurance for you and your whānau.
  • Life insurance from day one.
  • KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones up to 7%.
  • Fuel discount card.

  • Family scholarships.
  • Ongoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunities.
  • Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.
