Join us as a Civil Carpenter in the Canterbury Region! 

To support our existing Civil Construction operation in Christchurch we are looking for an experienced and qualified Civil Carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will assist our civil team to build structures, working with a variety of different materials, including timber, steel and concrete on varied domestic and commercial contracts.

 

In addition to the above you will:

  • Complete formwork (boxing) for structures.
  • Study and interpret building plans and drawings.
  • Operate handheld equipment including power tools needed for carpentry work.
  • Put in effort to help deliver work for our customers safety, on-time and to the highest quality standard.

We’re looking for someone with:  

  • Recent and relevant experience in heavy civil and structural areas including bridges, retaining walls, piling, concrete, precast and structural steel
  • A relevant trade qualification
  • Full clean class 1 licence and WTR endorsements.
  • Sound knowledge of formwork systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building and construction safety regulations.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety – it’s our #1 priority!
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
