The role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Spare Parts Coordinator to join our knowledgeable and experienced Service team and be supported by great training and shared expertise across the business. Reporting to the Parts Distribution Centre Manager and working within the Parts team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the efficient and effective daily operations of our Christchurch Parts Store in the supply of parts South Island wide.
The role is primarily focussed on supporting the Parts Store with the picking and dispatching of parts orders, receipt of inwards goods, stocktaking and replenishing Van and branch stock around the South Island. You’ll be responsible for picking accuracy and ensuring that the PDC is always tidy and neatly maintained to ensure health and safety as well as the efficient operation of the department.
Some of the key tasks you’ll be performing include supporting the Christchurch Parts Store in ensuring efficient and effective service to our Workshop and Field Service technicians across South Island, and supporting the Sales team with orders to ensure customer expectations are met. You’ll be required to action spare parts requisitions daily and prioritise any back orders or urgent jobs, as well as assembling and occasionally delivering parts packages to our Field or Site Technicians.
This is a fulltime, permanent role based in our Christchurch branch in Wigram.
Requirements
About you
To shine in this role, you’ll bring your positive and solutions-focused attitude and strong attention-to-detail skills, along with your drive to meet targets. We’re looking for someone with experience in a busy parts operation, preferably in the automotive, industrial service or manufacturing sectors. You’ll be a collaborative and supportive team player and have great customer service and confident communication skills when it comes to dealing with your internal and external stakeholders. Your good time management skills and IT savvy will help you enter this role.
Please note, a full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required and you must currently be legally entitled to live and work in New Zealand.
