The Helier Private Care Residences offer a unique fusion of boutique private nursing, based on the Primary Nursing Model of Care and extraordinary comprehensive hospitality services delivered in luxurious surroundings.

Through exceptional planning and organising this position is responsible for ensuring the effective, reliable, professional, and safe delivery of a food and beverages using a hospitality approach.

The Butler in conjunction with the catering team provides all aspects of the food and beverage service for residents living in the Care Residences. This service must be holistic, innovative, consistent and respond to the preferences of residents, making them feel unique, valued, and top priority at all times.

What you’ll bring:

  • NZ Certificate in Hospitality Level 2 or similar, or 1-2 years’ experience in hospitality.
  • High food safety hygiene standards and understand the requirements of hand hygiene.
  • Exceptional wait skills (knowledge of table service, menu items, barista skills, silverware, and glasses)
  • Enthusiasm for hospitality and a willingness to serve others.
  • Excellent attention to detail, diplomatic, honest and very organised.
  • A caring, warm and approachable nature.
  • A teamwork attitude.
  • LCQ and General Managers Certificate would be advantageous.

What you’ll be doing:

  • High standard delivery of Food and Beverage service to our residents.
  • Pre-service preparation of the dining room.
  • Residents are the center of attention, and their needs are anticipated.
  • All chefs are familiar with the day’s requirements.
  • Safety leadership, considering hygiene standards and a safe environment.
  • An ongoing commitment to personal and professional development.
