Job Description

Ampol’s Delivery team, which acts as strategic enabler to our transformation and our operating model, ensuring we responsibly invest in the right priorities to maximise value, consistently deliver impactful outcomes and align Tech, Digital & Data (TDD) to Ampol Group’s strategic goals and outcomes.

The Kaihoahoa Tukanga/Ratonga Process/Service Designer will drive process design and optimisation to increase operational excellence, reduce waste, ensure consistency, improve role clarity, streamline operations, and deliver measurable time savings and stakeholder satisfaction across TDD.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop consistent, optimised operational processes and ways of working across TDD. Analyse and understand current processes across multiple teams to identify opportunities for reuse.
  • Undertake process and service mapping and design including definition of roles and responsibilities, workflows, technology and tooling needs, and governance components to ensure streamlined, simple processes that eliminate waste and inefficiencies while supporting stakeholder expectations.
  • Conduct research, facilitate workshops, and prototype solutions by analysing data and current ways of working, ensuring alignment with TDD objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights, validate proposed changes, and support implementation.
  • Maintain and update process documentation, track adoption, and measure success based on efficiency gains, time savings, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to Z

  • Experience mapping, designing, implementing, and analysing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and optimising workflows using service design, systems thinking, and HCD principles.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, collaboration, and research skills to gather insights, validate improvements, and support implementation.
  • Ability to maintain process documentation in an accessible and centralised knowledge base, track adoption, and measure success based on efficiency, time savings, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with process optimisation and waste reduction initiatives, process governance and measurement, and continuous improvement methodologies to increased operational efficiency and scalability.

The base salary range for this role is $114,500 - $134,650 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
