Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing

As the Head of Wholesale Financial Trading, you will be leading the execution of all financial trading transactions, including developing, negotiating and managing new and evolving products with the electricity industry participants. You will also be developing and maintaining strategic and long-term partnerships.   You will be a valued member of the Wholesale Leadership team, a strong leader and manager, and will collaborate across the wider Meridian business.

• Proven leader with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk and maximize revenue opportunities.
• Deep understanding of the business and its value drivers, with trusted relationships across the organization.
• Strategic thinker with senior-level planning experience.
• Natural collaborator with the ability to influence and work effectively with diverse teams.
• Leadership experience in the energy sector is preferred, but relevant financial trading or markets experience in an equivalent industry will be considered.
