About the role - Mō te tūranga

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and growing a portfolio of mid to large-sized customers, supporting revenue growth, and achieving profitability through up-selling opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Customer Portfolio Management: Handle a portfolio of mid to large-sized customers, ensuring regular contact and relationship building.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue up-selling opportunities to support revenue growth and achieve profitability targets.
  • Product & Market Knowledge: Understand TGE's products and services, and conduct market research to introduce relevant offerings to customers.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate customer information in Salesforce, including contact details, sales activity, and market insights.
  • Financial Oversight: Ensure accurate revenue, rates, billing details, and contractual arrangements, and conduct profitability modeling.
  • Rate & Peak Planning: Manage rate reviews and plan for peak volume periods with customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with management and operational staff to foster strong working relationships.

We are looking for a highly engaged individual with strong relationship management skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and high attention to detail.

Additionally, you will bring:

  • Proven account management experience in a service-based industry (minimum 3 years).
  • Prior experience in the Transport & Logistics industry is desirable.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is desirable.
