We’re seeking an On-Air Graphics Operator to play a pivotal role in live events by creating accurate and visually compelling race day graphics across our media channels. You’ll ensure race information is presented clearly, enhancing the viewer experience, driving engagement, and supporting wagering turnover, all while upholding high standards of graphic quality and consistency. Working alongside a skilled team, you’ll produce real-time visuals that elevate both race day broadcasts and magazine shows, taking pride in seeing your work directly contribute to the success of the broadcast.

This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, where you'll need to create real-time race day graphics under tight deadlines, with a focus on accuracy and consistency rather than creative freedom. While not a traditional design role, this On-Air Graphics Operator position is ideally suited to individuals with experience in an operational control room setting who are driven to work within a structured design framework.

Where and how you can work...

We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Sydney, and Brisbane, to name a few! This role will be based in our dedicated control rooms in Auckland.

In the Broadcasting team, every moment is critical. You'll need to thrive in a dynamic environment and be flexible across the week including weekdays, weekends, some public holidays, and possible late nights.

Your day-to-day...

• Compile all relevant daily information into graphics systems before the on-air broadcast.
• Ensure all graphics are accurate, error free, and visually appealing and meet Entain’s broadcasting standards.
• Provide accurate and reliable information for Trackside viewers watching live racing or one of our magazine shows.
• Display and update all scripted graphics during live programming, in coordination with the Studio Director & Producers.
• Match runner numbers with the order of horses during live races.
• Provide provisional race results for both horse and greyhound races as they conclude.
• Develop and implement actions that enhance customer engagement and contribute to a visually exciting broadcast.

You're a match if you ideally have...

• A relevant Broadcast or Media qualification would be preferred.
• Experience in a Broadcast TV environment is desirable, providing understanding and insight into live operations.
• Strong computer skills are essential for using graphics systems and software.
• Previous experience with Viz Trio would be advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge and interest in racing are beneficial for creating accurate race graphics.
• Effective communication skills are important for collaborating with team members during broadcasts.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail is crucial to ensure graphics are accurate and meet standards.
