Bring your digital expertise by joining us as an experienced Digital Engineering Specialist, based out of the Auckland Region.

Working with the latest technology alongside a wider group of passionate Digital Engineering and GIS professionals. We bring together geospatial data including 2D/3D design data and BIM Models, LiDAR, Aerial and Drone Imagery and high precision survey grade models to produce interactive digital information products that anyone on our projects can access and use.

In addition to the above, you will:

  • Support the full project lifecycle from tender to delivery by creating and managing 2D and 3D models.

  • Oversee CAD drawings, 3D models, and geospatial information by managing content in common data environments.

  • Assist project delivery teams by examining and interpreting design drawings, models, and documentation.

  • Develop derived data products from surveyed geospatial data to support project needs.

  • Meet client's asset information and exchange requirements by facilitating the creation of as-built records.

  • Utilise construction software packages to deploy geospatial solutions.

  • Ensure seamless geospatial data integration between digital engineering software and systems using FME.

  • Ensure digital models accurately reflect real-world conditions through regular on-site inspections, surveys, and quality assurance processes.

  • Identify growth opportunities and promote the use of digital workflows to inspire digital engineering technology adoption.

  • Leverage digital engineering techniques to enhance sustainability and environmental performance of projects by supporting sustainability objectives.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Hold a Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Surveying, Computer Science, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction sector, with relevant on-site exposure.

  • Be proficient in using Digital Engineering desktop software in Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, 12d Model, or similar.

  • Have strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards, including NZ BIM Handbook and ISO 19650.

  • Be competent in using and managing common data environments (CDE) like Autodesk Construction Cloud, Trimble Connect, and ArcGIS Online.

  • Have experience with Safe Software’s FME Form and Flow platform.

  • Possess a desire to learn and implement spatial workflows using the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem and be familiar with relevant field-based workflows including engineering surveying practices.
