Jasmax is seeking a talented Personal Assistant, Office Manager to join its Christchurch studio. This part-time, fixed-term contract covers parental leave and is 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The start date is mid-May, and the finish date is mid-March 2026.  

Jasmax is a leading, multi-award-winning architecture and design practice with studios across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. With over 230 staff members, the practice offers multi-disciplinary expertise and integrated design solutions across architecture, interior design, urban design and landscape architecture. For 60 years, Jasmax has worked at the forefront of bicultural and sustainable design in the Pacific.  

The role:

This important role ensures the studio runs smoothly by providing efficient and proactive customer service and administration support.  The Christchurch Studio is a hub of creativity and inspiration where the team works collaboratively to produce outstanding work.  This role supports them in making this happen.  

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Provide PA support to the Studio Leads and Principals
  • Greeting and welcoming visitors and clients to the studio
  • Manage and maintain front of house
  • Organise and coordinate events, conferences, meetings, presentations, and catering requirements
  • Provide marketing support, including presentations, bid submissions, and Jasmax-run events
  • General accounts duties
  • Facilities and procurement management   

What you bring:

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will bring a positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude. High levels of initiative and the ability to think ahead are essential for making a positive impact every day.  

PA or team support experience within a creative/design, or professional services industry will be beneficial. Great problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate issues are also required. Excellent organisational and coordination skills will be utilised daily.
