The Role (Your Why)

Here at Datacom, we are seeking the best of the best in the physical security space to join our highly acclaimed and rapidly growing security practice.

As a Security Team Lead, this role will see you responsible for IP based access control, intrusion detection, alarm, video management and analytics design, installation and support. You will have in depth Gallagher experience and certification that enables you to design, program, install,troubleshoot, maintain, and guide others through all aspects of access control and intruder detection. You will be hands on as well as managing others to complete the jobs. Ideally you will be an IQP.

What You’ll Do:

• Engage with clients to gather requirements and/or to discuss technical solutions to their security and or other business issues
• Design of solutions, specifying equipment and producing quotes
• Implementation of security solutions utilising solutions from Genetec, Milestone and Gallagher. Including access control, alarm management, intrusion detection, video, license plate recognition and video analytics.
• Support of existing security solution sites
• Scheduling installations including internal and external resources
• Manage equipment and resources during site installations
• Guide junior resources in the installation and support of systems
• Attending security product training and passing the relevant certification exam
• Ensure code of conduct and guidelines required under NZ PSPLA is adhered to at all times.

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for a self-starter to assist in opportunities, deployments and support. Most of all you will be a motivated team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to constantly strive for better. You will need:

• Five plus years of security implementation and support experience in a senior role
• Gallagher Certified
• Customer support skills for Access Control solutions up to 3rd Level Support
• Cabling installation
• At height EWP certified
• Security solution design, builds, programming and installation
• Knowledge of Video Management and License Plate Recognition
• Preferably IQP registered

The candidate must be NZ PSPLA Security Technician or Security Consultant registered
