Are you a talented developer with experience in risk analytics? Join our Risk Analytics team and help shape the future of our SAS Risk Platform. As a key member of the team, you will play an essential role in supporting and developing our platform, which provides vital quantitative insights across the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Risk Measurement, this is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team, where your contributions directly influence the strategic direction of our risk management systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, test, and deploy SAS programs to support business needs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize solutions for performance.

  • Design and manage the SAS Risk Management platform architecture.

  • Ensure platform stability, security, and scalability while meeting evolving business requirements.

  • Maintain version control and organize code repositories.

  • Coordinate software releases and manage release schedules, ensuring minimal disruption.

  • Conduct post-release reviews and implement improvements based on feedback.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a SAS Analyst and Programmer and a strong knowledge of the SAS software stack.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and release management processes.

  • Experience in system administration and maintenance.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail along with strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

  • Experience with other data analytics tools and platforms is highly desirable along with a familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with SAS.

  • Generalist banking experience specifically in credit risk, an understanding of IFRS9 and RWA calculations, and experience with Risk Models is highly desirable.
