Join Westpac New Zealand as a Senior Manager - Commercial Analytics, where you'll play a pivotal role in aligning our analytics practice with the company’s strategic goals. You’ll drive key initiatives that maximize ROI, manage resources efficiently within the Customer Analytics & Insights team, and ensure the success of our financial, customer, and risk objectives. Align Analytics with Strategic Goals: Ensure the customer analytics practice supports Westpac NZ’s financial, customer, and risk objectives to drive business success.
Governance, Planning, and Reporting: Lead governance and planning processes for the team, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and key stakeholders.
Delivery Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the business unit, collaborating with key stakeholders to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Create and execute a communication strategy, ensuring clear messaging across Westpac NZ while supporting the Chief Analytics & Insights Officer.
Co-create and Execute Road Map and Investments: Work with leadership to develop and implement the road map, guiding strategic investments in the analytics practice.
Resource and Relationship Management: Manage resource allocation and build strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and partners.
Deliver Business Outcomes and Reporting: Ensure the delivery of accurate business outcomes, including reports for the Board and Executive Team to support data-driven decisions and commercial outcomes.
Prepare Risk Assessments for Executive Review: Draft risk papers for executive review, clearly identifying key risks, mitigation strategies, and the impact on decision-making.
Enhance Productivity and Efficiency: Drive process improvements to increase productivity and deliver operational excellence, maximizing the value delivered by the team.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
Experience working in strategic or consulting environment, preferably in banking, with strong commercial acumen and risk management skills.
Proven ability to identify, track, and deliver business benefits aligned with strategic goals, driving successful change.
Experience writing risk papers for executive review, clearly identifying risks, mitigations, and impacts on decision-making.
Strong ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex analytics outcomes to diverse audiences.
Excellent communication and writing skills, with experience in developing and executing engagement strategies for stakeholders.
Experience with financial modelling and translating financial, customer, and risk data into business alignment.
Strong writing and presentation skills with experience developing project roadmaps from planning to execution.
Proven track record in working in an Operational Excellence type role and have experience in driving continuous improvement, optimising processes, and implementing best practices to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
