Crimson Global Academy is NZ's first online high school and we need your help to take our expansion global! Our team is looking to bring on someone to support the growth of upcoming marketing initiatives. This role will be fast-paced, with a breadth of day-to-day activities and endless development opportunities.
This is a full-time position, based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
- Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance the front-end of our online high school platform.
- Utilise React and TypeScript to create user-friendly, responsive web interfaces for students and educators.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices to maintain code quality.
- Show interest in learning and contributing to our backend.
- Diagnose and resolve software defects and issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and meet project requirements.
What skills and experience are required?
- 2+ years of experience in front-end web development.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Enthusiasm for learning and exploring backend technologies (AWS, Terraform, Node, Postgres) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- A deep passion for education and a commitment to elevating the online learning experience.
