The opportunity:
We are currently looking for an Asphalt Plant Operator/Loader Driver to join our team. The position is based at our busy Asphalt Plant in Invercargill. As an operator and under the direction of the onsite supervisor, you will be responsible for the production of asphalt and the loading process from the silos. Candidates with previous experience in operating and maintaining an asphalt manufacturing plant will be preferred. However, we are willing to consider applicants with experience in any plant operations. Our plant sets high standards for quality and safety, and we need reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic operators to help us grow. We are open to candidates of all levels, as full training will be provided to the right applicants.
As one of the asphalt plant operators with our team, you will take ownership of the maintenance and care of the plant and machinery, ensuring a safe and efficient plant. You should have good communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with customers. Attention to detail will also be important as you complete the necessary paperwork for this role, including permits and daily records.

Lead and train others as required
To be successful in this role, you will:
Have a mechanical aptitude and a sound understanding of operational processes
Willingness to learn and be able to prioritise your workload
Basic computer literacy and a methodical approach to work
