About the role
Join Temperzone as Group Product Manager and lead the way in air conditioning innovation. In this key leadership role, you’ll drive the strategic development and launch of cutting-edge products designed to exceed market demands and customer expectations—all while maximising return on investment. With full ownership of the product lifecycle, from concept to obsolescence, you’ll have the flexibility to base this role at either our Auckland or Sydney site. This is a unique opportunity to combine your expertise in refrigeration principles, analytical skills, and leadership to deliver ground-breaking solutions that make a lasting impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Spearhead the product management team's efforts to deliver groundbreaking innovations, placing customer satisfaction at the heart of every product decision.
- Conduct ongoing market research and customer engagement to pinpoint emerging trends and translate them into actionable product development strategies that ensure a competitive edge.
- Partner with R&D, engineering, marketing, service and sales to collaboratively develop innovative products that drive significant impact
- Led the full spectrum of product management, from initial concept through development, market introduction, improvements and supersession.
- Generate in-depth market share analysis for ANZ, supported by robust market research.
- Deliver strategic insights to management through comprehensive reports on short-term and long-term product demand, launch progress, and sales performance.
- Maintain a consistent UX design criteria to streamline user interaction and reduce the need for relearning across various product suites.
- Construct and implement training & support curricula to educate sales teams and clients on product features and applications.
- Provide technical and application support to sales, service representatives and clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Lead the development and enhancement of our sales enablement tools, including energy efficiency calculators, product selection software, and online configurators
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- Diploma of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (preferred) or a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. A Mechanical Engineering background or a business/engineering Bachelor’s degree is also desirable.
- Solid understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and various air conditioning systems, with knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Extensive experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing HVAC products throughout their lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of HVAC market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, with the ability to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies.
- Expertise in product development lifecycles, financial analysis (pricing and profitability), market research, and roadmap planning.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
- Strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- A future-oriented mindset with a focus on creating innovative solutions and driving organisational success.
- Knowledge of engineering and design principles, as well as experience with marketing and sales enablement, would be advantageous.
