Job Description
Our Performance and Value function understands and communicates the key drivers of current business performance to wider leadership teams, conducts annual forecasting and regular reforecasting during the year, and provides financial modelling and analysis to support decision making and tracking delivery of value.

We are looking for a Kaitātari Arumoni Mātāmua Senior Commercial Analyst to join the Z whānau in a permanent role providing financial analysis to support capital allocation, capital structure and long-term value generation within Z. Keen to know more?
You will have the opportunity to
- Provide analysis to support investments and large initiatives, including project value analysis, project pipeline prioritisation, sensitivities, and risk analysis
- Build, review and enhance financial models to support Z’s strategy development and maximise value
- Support the financial aspect of investment cases including providing assurance, developing financial models and drafting sections of the investment case
- Work across the Ampol Group Finance team to ensure alignment with financial modelling practises and provide input to the group valuation model
- Provide analysis to support benefits tracking and value tracking to ensure return on investments is as expected
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to Z
- Strong experience in the management and design of financial outlook modelling, including the preparation of operating performance projections and key metrics analysis
- A passion for solving problems and using analysis to support commercial and strategic decision making
- Excellent communication skills to explain analysis and provide recommendations
- Expertise in building relationships with internal and external contacts, forming partnerships that support business success
- Experience in a complex commercial environment

The base salary range for this role is $127,200 to $149,650 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
