Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Due to growth and opportunities to further expand our business, we currently have an opening in the Bay of Plenty region for an experienced Underground Locator Technician to join our great team.  Based in Tauranga, you will work with the latest technology supporting our customers locating utilities, mapping underground utilities, interpreting plans, and managing customer relationships.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

• Demonstrable experience in a Telecommunications/Utilities company GIS/cable location environment.
• Experience with GPR cable/pipe location
• NZQA L3 Telecommunications qualifications, or similar, or minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Full New Zealand Class 1 driver’s license
• Good understanding of utility network architecture
• A willingness to learn and develop basic survey and Arc GIS skills
• Self-starter with an eye for detail and planning your work effectively
• Great communication skills
