This is a full time, fixed-term position based in Petone, Wellington

The opportunity

You will play a key role in executing best-in-class engagement activities with our stakeholders, partners, and communities. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive team player who is focused on delivery.

    • Lead the development and delivery of stakeholder and community engagement strategies for Wellington Water's capital projects
    • Work with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver on-the-ground engagement activities
    • Ensure a community centric lens is provided on all Wellington Water capital projects
    • Lead the organisation and management of community events and meetings
    • Provide strong engagement advice and support to leaders

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring:

    • Solid experience in community engagement with a strong customer focus
    • Highly developed relationship building and management skills
    • Ability to read people and situations and adapt to changing environments and context, as well as deal with ambiguity
    • Ability to plan strategically as well as implement and deliver engagement activities
    • A full clean driver's license as some travel across the wider Wellington region is needed
