The Downer South division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work across the country.  We are looking for an experienced or up-and-coming STMS to provide support within the Rangitīkei District out of our Marton & Taihape depots.

As an STMS, you will ensure the accurate following of temporary traffic management plans and oversee set up and pack down of road closures and diversions. 

• You will be confident leading toolbox and closure briefings with crew, whilst providing clear job details and expectations to TMO’s.
• Willing and able to train and upskill our Traffic Controllers and junior STMS’
• Ensure the safety of the Downer crew, subbies, and the general public.

 

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

You will be a physically fit and motivated person and will bring with you. 

• Class 2 or 4 license 
• A valid STMS warrant 
• Be physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
• Flexibility is desirable given you will be required to varied hours 
• Show commitment to safe work practises
• Have a positive 'can do' attitude 
• Occasionally assist with call-out work.
