Joining our Energy Solutions team and working across the Group (Z and Ampol) as a Kaiārahi Tuku Mātāmua - Aotearoa Senior Deployment Manager New Zealand is a great opportunity to bring your leadership, project execution and planning skills to a team that is making a real difference to transport solutions in Aotearoa New Zealand. You will have the opportunity to
- Guide, mentor and coach a team to plan and execute Energy Solutions projects (electrical vehicle charging stations, battery and other energy solutions projects)
- Take responsibility for the framework and execution of our Contractor Safety Management framework and ensure Deployment Leads are also trained in the framework
- Work across and take ownership of the time, cost, quality and safety of Energy Solutions projects
- Partner with the procurement function, to build and maintain a fit for purpose national, regional and local contractor base aligned to New Zealand Deployment activities and Contractor Management requirements
- Act as an escalation point for project disputations and partner with the Deployment Contracts Manager to resolve and touphold contract obligations
- Review and authorise the release to tender for all Scope of Works documentation and other supporting tender documentation
- Partner to ensure that principal contractors have met all required contractual pre-requisites in the pre-start phase and that all on-boarding and induction requirements have been reviewed and implemented
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to Z
- Demonstrated experience and/or qualifications in an engineering discipline, preferably Construction, Mechanical or Electrical
- Strong knowledge of construction planning across all phases of work
- Leadership experience of people and pieces of work
- Strong knowledge of project and programme planning encompassing financial, legal, engineering, environmental and other perspectives
- Knowledge of or experience in the renewable energy industry and/or fuel forecourts or fuel hazardous zones would be advantageous
- A commitment to contractor safety and creating harm free work environments
- The ability to identify and drive change and performance, through a culture of continuous improvement
- Guide and contribute to a multi-discipline project management team
- Able to work with ambiguity in a rapid change environment and problem solve situations
- Relationship skills to engage stakeholders and influence change

The base salary range for this role is $149,200 to $175,550 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
